When you were a kid did you ever stick pantyhose on your head, flip it around and pretend it was long hair?

Did you ever fashion a paper clip into a retainer and stick it in your mouth and pretend you had orthodontics?

Did you ever convince yourself that your dolls and teddy bears actually did move out of the corner of your eye?

Sigh. While Grace was explaining the world of rhombus (rhombiis???) octogons, hectagons and some other gons during homework time, I was daydreaming about the above.

I looked hot with long (pantyhose) hair.

My teddy bears moved around when I was out of the room and talked to each other. They stopped right when I opened the door.

The bears still move. Ok. They do. The dolls were out to get me, which is why they were banish to the basement.

Personally I looked way better with the bath towel wrapped around my head... smokin'(I also sounds just like Olivia Newton John in Grease.)

My brother and I used to pretend we were various heroes from "Superfriends". Those were the days! :)

I used to pretend I had a broken leg or arm and hobble/drag myself around...that was usually after a game of running around playing Bionic Woman/Six Million dollar Man with my cousins. It must be genetic because my youngest daughter was asking me last week if I had anything she could use for crutches... Oh, and I did the retainer thing too but ended up wearing braces for years after. Ugh.

Oh ya. I had leotard hair and when I wanted to be really exotic, I had long, flowing blanket hair. Braces weren't cool when I was a kid though and my teddy bears used to ravish my Barbie's

First off-when my kids start talking about their math homework-all I hear is Charlie Brown's teacher. Yuck.
I used bubble gum on the roof of my mouth to sound like I had a retainer.
I used to pretend my banana seat bicycle was a motorcycle, and I, too, was Olivia Newton John-in black leather pants and red tube top.
And umm....are you people saying toys don't come alive at night or when we aren't looking???? That's just not right.

All of the above, plus lying on the bed with my head dangling over the side, admiring how cool everything looked upside down, with the ceiling as a nice, clean, uncluttered floor.

Yes, all the time.
No.
Yes, and they still do. In the kids' rooms.
